About the AUDIT

The Alcohol Use Disorders Identification Test (AUDIT) was developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) as a simple screening method for excessive drinking. It is widely used in primary care and other health settings.

The AUDIT identifies:

The test covers three domains: alcohol consumption (Q1-3), drinking behaviour and dependence (Q4-6), and adverse consequences (Q7-10).
